Tesla increased price of Model S and Model X in China
As the China-US trade war heats up, on July 6, China’s import tariff on US vehicles raised from 15% to 40%. Affected by this, Tesla’s products sold in the Chinese market have all raised prices. The average price of the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X models increased by 100,000 yuan (around 14.000 USD), the price of Model S 75D basic models increased from 710,600 yuan to 849,900 yuan, it was an increase of 139,400 yuan (around 20.000 USD), the price of the SUV Model X high-end models rose from 1,350,600 yuan to 1,572,200 yuan, an increase of 256,600 yuan (around 37.000 USD)
